The year of pain
I can feel the pain all of us have gone through. The year 2020, was indeed challenging, uncertain, and dark. I was also under immense stress due to a feeling of precariousness emanating from the failure of finding a job and graduating. Things didn’t go as I planned. I delayed my graduation and have been fighting every day to advance in my career. Learning new skills and hoping my voice gets heard someday.
There were some heartbreaking stories throughout the world. One of my friend’s dad died of Covid-19, another friend lost his job due to a declining profit margin and was laid off due to cost-cutting measures at his company. That’s when I realized that people have gone through unbearable pain. The world needs givers, not takers. There is an unbalance in power, resources, money in the territories.
The emergence of deadly coronavirus has shown that how much we human beings are week. There has been a significant rise in unemployment, and mental health has deteriorated. Everyone is praying that we come out of this pandemic as soon as possible.
Even though vaccines are out, another disturbing news is that the virus has started to mutate itself- the newest UK version of the virus is dangerous as the results convey. All these indicate that it will long before we come out of this debacle. I hope this Christmas and the new year give sanity and strength to all who were not able to meet their loved ones and are struggling to find their mojo.
Out of all the uncertainty, and there have been some things which need due mention. I am blessed with an incredible family and friends, the support of whom has been invaluable. I realize that not all of us are lucky in these aspects. Love and affection, helping others, and doing things selflessly are magical.
Moreover, this year has made me wonder about my life decisions in general. I have been focusing on my all over development. I have been able to focus on my health, growth, and technical skills. I began this year with a lot of positive habits and embrace most of them which will hopefully stick with me for a lifetime.

Parting thoughts
Don’t forget the ground, my dear friend,
When life may be high, it all may end.
It is not always about success,
It is also about how well you deal with the stress.
You will find yourself in unexpected circumstances,
Feeling lost and alone will be some of the instances.
But who knows the next day will bestow
newer opportunities,
Having patience and believing in yourself is the courtesy.
Don’t forget to spread humility, love, and gratitude,
Life is lived only once with this attitude.
May you be happy and forgiving forever,
Wishing you the best regards for all your endeavors!
